The co-op and its members endeavor to support independent film and contribute to a thriving future generation. With this objective in mind, Bande à Part offers two annual programs: an internship and a support for sound postproduction program.
Internship
Application period: cancelled for 2020 (the pandemic forces us to postpone the internship for an indefinite period)
In this year 2020, Bande à part members are humbly but actively trying to do their part to help make Quebec cinema more diverse. This is why this year, the internship offer will only target people belonging to underrepresented groups in the film industry and more specifically in sound post-production. (woman, trans, non-binary, racialized, indigenous or person with disabilities*)
Through this initiative, we hope to encourage the up and coming sound designers who struggle too often to find their place in this industry.
This is an unpaid internship, and interns are expected to be present in the studio for 20 hours a week, or for a total of 240 hours over the course of three months.

Support for sound postproduction
Application period: October 1st to November 20, 2020
Once a year, Bande à Part offers artists and craftspeople a support for sound postproduction program to encourage one or more projects whose completion is jeopardized by a lack of proper funding. This initiative grants projects access to sound editing rooms, a recording studio, a location sound recording service, and the co-op’s sound library.
